Use Guidance Appropriate to the Review Design

PRISMA 2020 remains the principal PRISMA reporting guideline for systematic reviews. Authors should use the guideline or extension that fits the review design and should submit the applicable checklist when NEJSR requires one.

Proposed NEJSR baseline

The planned baseline is to require authors to identify and follow the reporting guideline that fits the review design and to provide the applicable checklist when a checklist exists. The final rule will be adopted through the Submission Guidelines.
