Proposed reviewer criteria
The criteria on this page are proposed for formal approval. NEJSR will not use an arbitrary single degree or years-of- experience threshold as the sole measure of reviewer suitability.
Demonstrated knowledge in a business, management, or related interdisciplinary area that fits the manuscript under review.
A scholarly or professional record that supports informed evaluation of the topic, evidence, methods, or practical implications.
Ability to assess the review methods used in the manuscript. Evidence-synthesis or quantitative expertise may be requested for methodologically specialized submissions.
Ability to provide clear, respectful, evidence-based feedback that distinguishes major methodological or interpretive concerns from minor editorial comments.
Willingness to protect manuscript confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, avoid inappropriate use of unpublished material, and follow journal review policies.
Ability to accept assignments selectively and complete accepted reviews within the timeframe stated in the invitation.
