Reviewer information

Reviewer Recognition

Peer review is scholarly service. NEJSR plans to recognize reviewer contributions without compromising manuscript confidentiality.

Proposed recognition program

The recognition approaches below are proposals for approval. Recognition practices will depend on the final peer-review model, privacy rules, technical integrations, and reviewer consent.

Service Confirmation

Provide confirmation of completed peer-review service when requested and permitted by the review model.

Annual Reviewer Acknowledgment

Recognize participating reviewers collectively without connecting a reviewer publicly to a specific confidential manuscript.

ORCID-Compatible Recognition

Evaluate a future workflow that can record verified review activity in ORCID when the reviewer opts in and the required publishing integration is available.

Reviewer Community

Invite active reviewers to journal communications, reviewer resources, and future scholarly activities when appropriate.

Persistent recognition

ORCID and Peer Review

ORCID supports peer-review activity records. NEJSR can evaluate that option after its manuscript workflow, reviewer consent process, and ORCID integration requirements are established.
