Authors should identify relevant research-ethics requirements and report ethics approval, exemption, consent, or other applicable information when the review includes activities that require such oversight.
Evidence Synthesis
Many reviews analyze previously published research and may not require new human-participant approval. Authors remain responsible for describing any ethical approval or exemption relevant to their own review activities.
